I read that people moved Avatar from the microSD card to the internal memory so they can put in their 8GB microSD. How was this done?

Connect it to your computer and move/copy the file.

And on that same note, is there a way to have the shortcut point directly to the video again? I know you can just add video player to the home screen, but what about a specific file?

How about a way to remove the stock avatar icon now that I moved it ti internal memory. I hate dead icons.

As far as I know, you can only do it via root.

yes, after root you can remove the icon, and it will not affect the rights or functionality of the movie on your phone
