Help Traveling to Canada with S3

So, I'm hoping to visiting family Canada next week, and I'm wondering what might be the best way to stay connected without paying Verizon's crazy international browsing rates...

Can I maybe buy a T-Mobile SIM card north of the border on a prepaid plan, or something?

Anyone have any ideas?
