Trip down cell phone lane

I like that Samsung SPH WP10 Someday we might see that on Antique's Road Show And this will date me but the first Motorola Phone that is used as a standard Gag Phone in movies making fun of the dawn of cell phones always use that beast. I paid $2500.00 for it in 1985 I even had a phone number that was one I made up. No one had cell phones so you could get any number you wanted. It cost about 2.50 to initiate the call and .70 a minute. If they had custom ring tones mine would have been cha-ching because it was as heavy as a cash register besides draining my wallet for 95% dropped calls.
Sad that the article completely skipped the original Motorola Droid, which really brought Android to the mainstream.
