Root Trouble unbricking Ally

After a series of mishaps/mistakes I have my LG Ally phone in brick condition. The only way it shows up on PC as USB device is if I plug in the USB cable while holding down the "5" key. The KP500-Utils unbricking guidemethod does not work, with the message "Updating is not possible any longer due to a fatal error" - I can attach the log if necessary. However, I can use LGNPST method to connect to the phone, which allows me to upload .tot file in Emergency Mode. With this caveat I can follow the "Alternate V6 Restore Method" up to step 19. When it loads the firmware, and says complete, the phone is just as dead as it was at the start. Is there anything that can be done to bring it back to life? Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

Because I was following too many directions at once, I decided to uninstall and reinstall my LG Drivers.
In device manager the following drivers show up:
LGE CDMA USB Modem (lgusbmodem.sys - v4.9.8.1,modem.sys), LGE CDMA USB Serial Port (COM 6) (lgusbdiag.sys - v4.9.8.1), and LGE CDMA Composite Device (lgusbbus.sys - v4.9.8.1).

KP500-Utils now connects to the phone, starts asking it for info, but then hangs up saying "Problems with communication between cell phone and PC". Shows this log.

xtcvapor: Thank you for the link. I tried that method earlier (see original message) - it goes through the update of .tot file (albeit in emergency mode) , says its complete, but the phone is just as dead.
