Trouble with 4gb sd card

Now my Htc Wildfire S for some reason wont take my 4gb sd card it comes up saying after putting it in please insert sd card, the 2gb that came with phone works fine and this 4gb worked in my old phone etc but not this one so iv lost all my pics/music etc iv reformated it and still doesnt wanna know bout it. the 4gb sd card is a Micro Sd Hc Emtec brand from Harvey norman is there a list where i can see what cards can and cant be used in phones??

Can you mount it on your PC to check it? Maybe it's just gone wrong.
Try another card - they're dead cheap these days.
