I'd like to listen to TuneIn Radio when I'm not connected to WiFi (i.e. through data transfer via the mobile operator). My mobile subscription is for 2 Gb per month.

Could someone tell me how much data does TuneIn Radio streaming consume? E.g. is 2 Gb more than you can ever listen to or should I watch the consumption?

    Thanks!

That completely depends on what station you listen to, and how they encode their audio. For example, a 128kbps stream will use about 60MB an hour.

Oh ok...that's helpful. But I guess there is no way you can tell how they encode their audio?

The App lists the bitrate and format right at the top - near the progress bar - when you're listening to a station.

If it's too high for your liking, you can choose "OPTIONS" and "Choose Stream" and pick a lower bandwidth version in most cases.
