I have an older Motorola Droid that I no longer need for phone or for using Verizon's mobile network. The only things I would like to use it for are a media device (to stream music to other devices via Bluetooth) and maybe as a camera. Is there a way to go in and delete all of the other stuff that's chewing up space? I'm not tech savvy and it's been a while since I did anything with Android.

You can uninstall any user apps you like. For pre-installed bloatware you can uninstall updates, clear data, and in most cases disable. Since pre-installed apps live in a different partition to your own apps and data doing that will free as much space as uninstalling them would.

To do anything more you need to root, and procedures for that are device-specific (and I don't know that device so can't advise). But if all you want is a media player there's probably little advantage in rooting anyway.
