Support Turning it On

    So I just got my phone and it's plugged in but I don't really get if it's just charging or what. Right now it's showing the Droid and Eye logo over and over. Does that mean it's charging?

    When it's off and charging it simply shows a battery and a percent. The red eye only shows up when it's booting. If its stuck in a cycle, try pulling the battery and starting it up.

    I see the battery icon now but its just a question mark on it

    It sounds like its either a system problem or a battery problem. Try reseating the battery. If that doesn't work, try booting into recovery mode.

    "The first step is to turn off your phone. Once you have done that, hold down ‘Home’ and press ‘Power’ until the Motorola boot animation appears. After that, release ‘Power’ and keep pressing ‘Home’ until you see an exclamation mark appear.
    Once you see it, release ‘home’ and press the ‘Search’ button once. If all goes well, your Droid X should now enter recovery mode. When you are done playing around within, press the ‘reboot’ system now’ with the volume key and press the camera button to return to your normal homescreen."

    no wonder...one of the prongs inside the phone is bent so its not charging or turning on...fml

    Did you accidentally do it when you shoved the battery in there? If it's not too horrid, you could potentially bend it back and see if that works. If not, then call Verizon and they should send you a new phone - although that means more waiting.

    yea i think i did. my dad knows how to fix stuff so he is going to try and bend it back.

    Alright, that sounds possible. If he can't fix it then you can always call and say that it was like that and get another one.

    went to his store and he fixed it in 5 seconds. thank god now i dont have to kill myself.
