OK I've now found and use the bluetooth widget. What about the GPS widget? If I turn GPS off what will not work on my Hero?
Please, I'm not a wiz at this and I am learning a lot from all of you.
    Thanks,
    TC

    LOL, dead on.

However, there's really no reason to turn GPS off. It doesn't use any power unless an app calls on it, and there aren't many that call on it. Most that need a location just pull it from the towers. About the only apps that use GPS are navigation apps (sprint nav, google nav), and maps apps (google maps, cellfinder (not sure cellfinder's around anymore)). I'm sure there's a couple other things that'll pull up the GPS, but there aren't many that are used a lot.

If you don't ever use the navigation apps or the map apps, then by all means, turn it off. It really won't make much of a difference either way.

No real need to turn it off as it only fires up when you start up the navigation program or run something like google maps. Its only running when you can see the little GPS icon in the tray.

Anything that uses location pretty much will be off. Try it, you. won't mess anything up that you can't fix by turning it back on.
