I'm pretty sure they said that the leak was an older version, not the actual beta version. Sit tight, it will be here soon enough in all it's buggy glory.

I installed it and am using it, works great. When the beta comes out today I will install it as well and see if there is a difference.

So what exactly is tweet deck? Is it a twitter app?

Yes, I use it on my PC very nicely done there. I can tell this is a beta version, by the time it's polished and finished, it will be very nice. It's a good start now.

MrMixelpix- I thought the same thing . . . kind of disappointing.

can't figure out how to remove Face Book from it as I don't need to be notifed of all the people playing farmville

Just remove that account. Open Tweedeck then hit menu> accounts . . . no wait, that doesn't remove it.

Uninstall the app, reinstall it and then just don't connect the facebook account.

So far it looks nice but I'm going to have to watch it from afar:
    -No customizable notifications
    -No resize font
    -No customizable refresh rate.

I'll need those 3 to get back on the beta-go-round.

I don't know if I need a notification everytime someone tweets anything. Would be nice if notifications were only sent if I got a DM or a mention.

Not only does it do twitter, but it also does facebook, google buzz, and a few other social networking sites. The app definitely needs some added functionality, i.e. refresh rate options, notification options, a widget, etc.

They also have an app for PCs that is very good.

All three of these are addressed in the official blog as coming soon. It is a beta release after all.

Once they add global filters so that I can nuke all of the inane 4sq messages, it will be darn near perfect. :D

    Bump . . .

Full app now available in the market. Much better than Beta. You can now select how often it polls for updates, add and remove columns and much more. I'd say it's worth a look.
