TweetDeck not notifying reliably?

I recently noticed that TweetDeck began unreliably giving me notifications.

Sometimes it works properly and gives my audible alert as well as the flashing led and icon in the notification bar.

However, lately it sometimes also fails to notify me in any way. Sometimes for hours.

Anyone else had this problem?

Sounds like the app is being killed by the OS. Are you running a task manager if so uninstall it or add tweet deck to the excluded apps list

Actually, no. I had Advanced Task Miller but got rid of it. And currently Juice Defender is not installed... :-(

The OS could be killing it, if android needs memory it will kill apps that are running in the background that have not been called forward for a while. Is there an option to set up for it to update every 'x' minutes or a system persistant option? Also if there is a widget available you could add that to the home screen it could help it keep the app alive.

Hmmm. Well i typically open it immediately after it gets a msg. It syncs every 3 mins.

Not sure that it has a widget tho i'd prefer not to use one.

It has a widget. I downloaded it and couldn't stand the UI. Have you tried any other Twitter apps? I use tweet caster and don't miss notifications

There are not any other settings with tweet deck that would help

Ill check out some others. Its a shame because TD is superb otherwise imo.

Well, outside of a bug that sometimes makes it impossible to RT. Lol

It would be prefect if it functioned perfect and did as it was supposed to... I think most if not all devs set out for a goal much like this
