    Tweetdeck tweeted this:

"As part of the process of making TweetDeck more consistent with Twitter.com & Twitter's mobile apps, we're removing deck.ly from our apps"

The beginning of the end? Any other apps out there that combine FB and Twitter in 1 app?

Well considering this happened after Twitter took over Tweetdeck, I'm thinking we can expect more of these decisions.

I'm still not clear what the implications are here..the end of shortened URLs? The end of either FB or Twitter?

The end of Tweets longer than 140 charactes. Also, I'm not liking the fact that this is a downgrade. It's not surprising this happened after Twitter bought Tweetdeck.

Tweetcaster? Not so sure. Hootsuite does AFAIK. You lose the Home column of Tweetdeck if you shift though (combined facebook and twitter feed).
