Hello to all of the forum
I'm a proud Android user who just yesterday bought an HTC Wildfire S.
I just made a mobile internet plan with Vodafone Italy, unfortunately it's only 250 MB/week and I am not really looking forward to find out how expensive it is to get past the cap.

I want my phone to have two sync policies, that is Extremely crippled sync, on mobile data and Full sync, push, bells and whistles on wifi.

Is it possible to define two policies and have the phone automatically switch between them depending what network you're using?

Yeah I tried it too. Never got it to work they way you just said so I just use the power widget and keep sync off while on mobile data and turn it on everytime I connect to wi-fi.

the only downside is that push notification for gmail doesn't work without sync, which is weird and makes me think gmail doesn't actually have push because for example, yahoo mail has no problem pushing your e-mail even with sync off.

An app called Tasker might do what you want it to?
