Question One: Is there anyway to turn off the Stock Music App? Just pausing it still uses battery, and I can't find any way of manual turning it off. Not evening going through Applications and force closing turns it off. Even turning off the phone and turning it back on doesn't turn it off.

Question Two: Is there anyway to Root 2.2.2? I've tried Superoneclick, by RageAgainstTheCage and GingerBreak, and neither seem to work.

I don't use the stock music player, and it's not running on my phone and doesn't start up on boot up. (I use the Cloudskipper player [free])

Can't help you on the rooting question.
