I was excited to get my new MyTouch... I added lots of apps. Now I find that I have two email notices for every new email. I checked my app directory, and I have the Android email app AND a GMail app... so there is the answer... but I have been unsuccessful in deleting the GMail app. My phone has a link to manage apps, and I can select the GMail app, but I don't find any Delete function. I hope someone can help me - please!

You can enter the default email app by selecting it in the app drawer. hit menu\more\settings\notifications to adjust notifications .

or: hit menu\more\settings\delete account to remove it from the emails you follow by default
