Hi. What do we call the feature whereby the android phone listens to voice and types automatically by its self what you say?

Is this feature applicable to Androids operating on Lollipop versions?

Other than on SMS where else is it applicable?

How can I activate the feature on my Android?

Speech to Text. Try the Google Keyboard in the Play Store and touch the microphone key. Actually it might already be on your device. Look for that microphone key.

@ dontpanicbobby, Does the internet have to be on for the speech to text to work?

Is this the feature also called speech recognition?

No Internet required as far as I can tell, I turned off Wi-Fi and Mobile Data and it still worked. No reason not to call it speech recognition as far as I can tell.
