Okay by this point in time I am EXTREMELY frustrated with Sprint, however, I am turning you you guys and gals for help. According to my phone I have Android 2.3.3, except that the one that I want looks more like the 2.3. The one I currently have installed on my phone does NOT look like the newest version. The lovely people at Sprint do not understand this concept. So I was wondering, the version I want is the one with the black background, and 3 short buttons on the bottom for phone, internet, and apps. The one I have is silver and curved and goes the extent of the whole screen.

Does anyone know what I'm talking about and how to get it on my Evo Shift?

You can't unless you root. You are talking about vanilla Android without sense. And to make it worse, even if you wanted to root right now, you couldn't. there is no root exploit found for 2.3 yet. Hopefully soon, though!
