HI, I got a bit of a problem, or maybe just a misunderstanding from my part.
I am trying to add another number to existing google contact on my Nexus S.
    http://i917.photobucket.com/albums/ad13/muziqaz/HTC Desire_ Nexus S/addingnumbertocontact.jpg

I long press on a number in my call log. select 'add to contacts'. Find my contact in my phone book, click on it. Then press Done and it saves without the number I was trying to add.
I know I can do it the stone age way by writing on a piece of paper and then adding it to the contact, but where is the fun in that?
Am I doing something wrong, or is it stock android playing up?
As far as I remember I never tried adding a number like that on this phone. Tried it on HTC Desire, worked like a charm.

Any tips and help will be appreciated
    Thanks

    Here is an update:
It looks like I am unable to add numbers to the google contacts which are joined with that contact's facebook account. I was able to add a number from the call log to another contact which was not linked to any facebook account.
