I am unable to send or receive pxt messages using the Telecom network (NZ) on my Galaxy s2 without have my data activated. What should I do? I have rung Telecom and they tell me it is impossible to send pxts without data but I know that isn't the case. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there any way round it? E.g. settings.

Strangely, my partner has a HTC Wildfire S on the same network (Telecom NZ) and he can send/ receive pxts with his "mobile network"/data turned off. Very odd.
