I just picked up a new phone so I figured I would start downloading some of my previous apps through the Market. When I check the Market from my phone it is barely showing any of my apps. I decided to check the Market from my computer. When I go to the list of my apps I see about 20 pages of apps listed. After page 10 the pages are blank. I can only see about half of my apps that I purchased and downloaded. I know this is a known problem because I have seen other references to it on the internet and I have contacted Google about it. I basically got a canned "We are working on it" response but this has been going on for quite awhile. How do I find all the apps I purchased/downloaded if I can not find them through the market?

Hmmm that is a bit of an issue.

What I do is use Astro File Manager to back up most of my apps. I also use screenshots of my apps to record them for future reference.

But you're right, this should be fixed.

I also have an iPhone 4S and iPad, and it's just as bad on the Apple side. You have to log into the iTunes store to view your past purchases, rather than having a "my apps" tab to see your past apps.

This is pretty obvious and I don't know why Android / Apple don't have it working as it should.

The only who has it working, is Amazon, with their Android app store.

At least with iTunes, I might have to login via computer but all my purchases are there. I did not realize how much money I have lost through Android because I can not see half my apps. The scary thing is this has been going on for over a year. I am afraid to put in any more money on apps for fear I will never see them again.

Not sure if the question is raised but are you using the same account now that was used when you've installed your previous apps?

Good, just checking, because this also would play a factor in what is displayed if you had multiple accounts (apps display under the account used at purchase)... :(

Can you not search your Gmail account for Android market purchases?

Usually for the cheap .99 app purchases I did not keep my emails because I figured I could just find them in the marketplace when I looked for them. I guess that was my mistake. It is a shame that is the only solution I have to resort to but I still have lost quite a few apps because I don't always add them on to all my phones so there a quite a few I have not downloaded in some time and I don't remember what they are.

Always always keep all your emails / receipts when you buy something.

I never understand those who delete emails like this. The Gmail has virtually unlimited space. What's the harm in keeping them?

I guess a lesson learned - in the future keep those emails!
