Root Unbrick Epic Touch?

    Is there a good way to do so (in general)?

    I just received the phone last night and my hand is itching to root it, but there is too much instability out there for me not to have a contingency plan.

    I googled, and didn't find much that was relevant.

    Right now, there's a stock kernel that you can reflash after rooting. However, we're still waiting for the stock rom to be available for flashing.

    xda usually has the latest and gets more traffic on root-related topics:
