I received my Froyo update today and it is wreaking havoc on the apps I use most. ESPN radio and MLB atbat. The streaming audio is very choppy. I did not back up and my phone is not rooted. Can I undo this update?

Have you tried a factory reset? ( It wipes everything, but this fixes most all problems. ) I'm not sure about going back to 2.1 though, sorry.

Without a rooted phone (with S-Off) PRIOR to flashing 2.2, It's complicated and can be risky.

Start here - not for the faint of heart. Read the entire thread. If you're not comfortable, don't do it. Stick with 2.2.
[GUIDE] How to downgrade from OTA RUU 2.2 to 2.1 - xda-developers

Note: I have not tested this procedure, but others have posted it works. Also, this procedure applies to those who manually flashed the update (using the OTA RUU - a program that manually flashes the update), not those who received it via Over the Air from Verizon. I think, but don't know for sure, if this procedure will still work. Ask them.
