Galaxy s5, android ver. 6.0.1 I've searched all over for an answer. All I'm finding is, 'clear the cache and data', and 'factory reset phone.' Wait! What?! Factory reset? Isn't there an easier way? I recently started getting this message whenever I receive a call, and I have an open app, ANY app, I get the message: "Unfortunately phone has stopped". I hit "ok" and it pops right back up. (It does NOT happen when I have no apps open, and I get a call.) The only way to get that message to go away, is to restart my phone! Does anyone have an answer other than a 'factory reset'?!

    Hi,
Go to settings >storage>cached data>clear cached data.
Settings>storage>apps>all> reset app preferences> reset apps.
Run the device in safe mode.
    If the problem is solved.
    Uninstall non system apps.
    Reinstall from google play store.
    OR,
    Uninstall the problematic app.

    To activate safe mode.

Press & hold the Power switch and see,
In the box that opens, touch & hold Power off.
See the robot> safe mode> Ok. device will restart in safe mode. You'll see the words "Safe mode" in a box at the bottom.

    To cancel safe mode.
    Restart the device.

Parayilhussain, I appreciate your response. But, I don't know what you are trying to tell me. I reset cache/data in all the apps. and restarted in safe mode. Problem still persists. "If the problem is solved." Uninstall non system apps." If problem is solved why would I want to uninstall apps? And if I knew which app was the problem, I would uninstall it.
