Uninstalled Calendar

I currently have a LG Optimus M with android 2.2.1. I am still fairly new to android. I rooted my phone and started uninstalling all the bloatware from metropcs. I didn't realize that when I thought I uninstalled my calculator.apk and .odex, I actually uninstalled my calendar.apk and .odex. I know stupid move genius. Now I have tried to install a copy of the calendar.apk and .odex from my wifes phone and it is not installing, or it will install but not sync with my gmail calendar. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Please help if you can, thanks all!

You will have to use Root Explorer and manually put those files into the system folder where they were. You will have to mount as r/w first.

On the syncing issue I believe you have to manually add and event to the phones calendar before it will sync.

or it will install but not sync with my gmail calendar.

New events need to be "Google Events", not "Phone Events". Phone events will be on your phone, but wont sync to gmail. The calendar app is probably set to use phone events by default.
