Not seen it before but do they have any ongoing or completed items when dropping down the notification bar?

    Cheers

    Hi

Could it be indicating that the battery is now fully charged, so you can disconnect? I have a feeling I've seen this on mine in that circumstance.

Please do post what it is if/when you discover the answer ...

    Cheers

You should try making that image smaller, I can almost make something out.

Notification toggle is set to off in the status bar. This thread pops ip most days so you will have seen it before. Most common thread on here :)

    Hi
I thought the symbol for Notifications being 'off' was a circle with an 'i'. Am I confusing it with something else?

I just checked on my phone (S3) and, since Jelly Bean update just 2 days ago, I've discovered I no longer have a Notifications button in the row across the top (forgotten what it's called)

Could you enlighten me, please, someone ... ?

    Thanks v much

The button is an "I" and I think the icon was updated to that at somepoint too however it certainly started life like this
