I lost my phone. I used the Android Device Manager to lock it with a PASSWORD.

I found my phone. It only shows the NUMBER keypad and I cannot enter my password to unlock it.

I'm at a total loss. Any advice is appreciated.

thanks so much.

I'm not sure if this is still relevant, but I have found some references to using ADM with Samsung phones need to be unlocked with Samsung's own device manager.

I was having the same problem with ADM. I went to https://findmymobile.samsung.com and went to protect device (left hand side). I then clicked "Unlock screen". Took a minute but worked fine.

Thank you so much for replying. Very kind. I do not have a Samsung account bc my phone is prepay. DARN! I sincerely appreciate the reply.

Did you have a PIN lock on the phone prior to locking it with ADM? You might try that first.
Occasionally I would set up a lock screen with a 4 digit PIN. I tried that one and numerous others. I reckon I"ll just have to keep failing until the phone resets. This stinks. Thanks for all the help you guys. I'm humbled.
