I had T-Mobile send me a SIM unlock code for my Vibrant.

The instructions are to insert a foreign SIM and then type in the unlock code.

Is there any menu I could go to to type in the unlock code without having to put in a foreign SIM?

I'll find someone with an AT&T SIM at some point, but if I could just type it in somehow, it's just easier than borrowing their SIM for a minute.

try this then, idk if it works or not but some Googleing brought me to this

    #0111*CODE#

where CODE is your 8 digit unlock code. type that in the dialer

to check if it worked type *#7465625# in the dialer, should say network lock[off]

on xda-developers there is a method to unlock your phone and use any sim card you wont. I suggest you just call tmo directly, they give you a free unlock code. Every time I need an unlock code for any of my phones, I just call them, within 14 days they email you with the code and instructions how to unlock. Usually takes less than 14 days.

    Didn't work, but thanks.

And the xda thing requires root, which I really don't want to do on my wife's phone.

I'll just wait until I can get an AT&T SIM from someone.
