I am trying to find a way to unlock and lock the screen on my Google Nexus 6P by using some type of touch/swipe gesture on the screen instead of the power button. I do not want to use any security feature when unlocking the phone and require it to unlock directly. Is there a feature in android or any third-party apps that can achieve this?

A third-party application called DoubleTap to Lock. It has a function to unlock the phone by double-tapping the screen.
