Hi, im new to the forum and have just bought an HTC desire HD.

I have just dropped it off at the shop to be unlocked so I can use it on my network (3) from T mobile, should this be easy enough?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you already dropped it off? If not, it's really easy to do using the one click root tool (first thread in the all things root section) - roots the device AND unlocks it. Would put a a link, but am on my phone at the moment!

It is relatively safe, I've not heard many reports of things going wrong.

I think they use something called an XTC Clip which plugs in to the SIM Card whilst the phone is in the bootloader. Here's a vid of an invisible robot going through what actually happens:

Yeah... I'm sure it'd be possible, but haven't got the faintest idea myself! Knew that someone would do it though! ;)

To be fair its not that much of a pain. Long press on the link you want to copy, then long press on where you want to insert the link then paste option:D
