Does anyone know if there is an app in the Android Market that UNBLOCKS incoming private/restricted numbers?

Also is there one that completely prevents blocked/private/unknown numbers from calling your phone?

Either or would be appreciated. Verizon offers the latter but at an additional cost.

    Thanks in advance.

Blocking all blocked numbers from calling would be easy. Knowing who calls all the time not so much. I don't think your phone ever receives that information from the carrier.

I wouldn't have thought something like that was even possible. For if a number is 'private', 'not available' or 'withheld', that number is not transmitted to the phone, app, website or third-party. There's just an indication as to why the number is not available. There can be genuine reasons to withhold a phone number when calling another party. Plus if a call is made with something like Skype Out, there is no phone number.

I use Blacklist (free in the playstore) to block all calls and messages from people not in my contact list or private numbers. They can leave a voicemail if they are legit (or I can read their message in the blocked list that I read through about once a week).

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.baole.app.blacklist

As for knowing who a private number is, I will know who they are when they leave a voicemail.
