I need to unmount my SD card to take it out of my Samsung Galaxy note 10 plus, but there is no option anywhere to do that. I have gone on to Google and I have done everything they said but the option is not there! Can someone please help me?? I don't want to damage the files on it!

Turning the phone off will certainly unmounted it, and you'll be able to safely remove the micro-SD without risking data.

Shutting down the phone, closes any files that might be open, and unmounts all media.

That's something I've always done, turn off the phone before ejecting the SIM and micro-SD holder.

FWIW my phone only shows an unmount for media, is if it's connected to the USB-OTG, like a thumb-drive.

so on the note 10+, unmounting has a few extra steps that is not obvious.

here is how to do it:
    settings>Battery and device care>storage>3 dots top right corner>advanced>sd card>unmount
