Hello Android Gurus... Can someone please tell me what this new Unrevoked2 is about ? I just found the post on AndroidCentral. I am also rooted via unrevoked, only for tethering purposes :)

Anyhow, here is the text copied straight from AndroidCentral:

    Thx everyone !

    BMORE.......4G ALL DAY
Actually its not, its tricking your phone to think its rooted until reboot. If you look on xda there are more problems with guys trying to flash roms with this method. Noone is having any issue with the REAL root method.

He says in the video that you have to already be rooted.

If I remember correctly, the unrEVOked root only works until you restart. As he restarts his phone numerous times in the video, I would guess that he's rooted another way.

Ah, maybe. I didn't know there was a 1.1, could be wrong.

Regardless, you still need to be rooted beforehand (no matter how you do it).
