This tool will give you permanent nand unlock while booted into the os as well as S-OFF security for the ability to flash unsigned zip's from hboot. With this you can flash any OTA and still be able to recover root by flashing a recovery and a root package. Please read our site for details and instructions and the download!

Target platforms: HTC Evo and HTC Incredible

Ok so sorry for the total noob question.. but what does the unlocked nand do for us?
  15. Taylored

    Taylored Android Enthusiast

    Short answer: Everything!

Longer answer: We currently only have access to write to system while in recovery. A full unlock would allow for an easier way to write to the system. This could be hazardous, so people should be careful when doing this. There is a reason why these devices are locked down in such a way.
  16. Freakin' sweet. I've been looking forward to this day for a long time.

    s-off :)

Epic. Maybe a new radio version AND s-off in the same day? that would be sick.

What we have now, think of as installing a custom version of Windows on a PC.

The SPL is like the BIOS. Right now, it's locked down. Once we have access to the SPL, we can do anything and not lock down /system, giving us complete 100% control over our phones.

What the hell does "S-OFF" mean? Cant seem to find it anywhere.

it means the phone will finally be truly unlocked. things will actually be doable with the phone booted up. and radios i guess will be flashable.
