Root Unroot Eris, going back to VZW

    My Eris has reception issues. I never get more than 1 bar even next to a tower. So tech support sent me this monday a replacement.

    My issue is that I need to unroot the phone to send it back right?

    If so, does anyone know of a guide written in plain english that I can follow to unroot the bugger?

    I'll start this by saying that I haven't tried either method myself, but, if it was me having to do this, I'd do the Flashback ROM.

    I agree. I've only seen where one person used it, but he said it worked like a charm.

    Given who it was that wrote the Flashback guide, I'd lay down a considerable amount of money that it would work as advertised ;).
