Hey guys just wanted to add this to the forum, maybe even get it stickied.
Before you attempt this make sure you unfreeze or restore any system apps you removed when rooted.
To manually Unroot your Droid 3:
Most people unroot because they need to send the phone back for a warranty exchange, you will need to factory wipe the phone to do this:

To manually Unroot your Droid 3:
- Download "Android Terminal" from Play Store
- Start the Terminal and make sure you are at a # sign. (If not type "su")
- Type "mount -o remount,rw /dev/block/system /system"
- Type "rm /system/app/Superuser.apk"
- Type "rm /system/bin/su"
- Type rm /system/xbin/busybox (if applicable)

- Power off
- Power on + "x" key (hold until you see the triangle and ! sign)
- Press both volume buttons at the same time.
- wipe cache partition
- wipe data/factory reset
