Help Unrooting a backlisted rooted S6 Edge

Hi,
I bought a used Samsung S6 Edge SM-G925F from the market and I was making some searches about it but I realized that it is rooted because it doesn’t take updates and it has a very old Firmware (5.1.1). I was going to unroot it when I also realized that the IMEI I was searching is a AT&T one and it shows on the web that the phone is a S6 not a S6 Edge and also shows that the phone is blacklisted. I wanted to know how is this possible and what can I do to have a clean phone because I’m afraid that if I unroot it the phone will die. Is there any option to save my phone. I do not leave in the US!

Phones are blacklisted for a reason... I'd be rather angry at the person who supplied it to you....

I have seen this a few times when someone will take a US Carrier branded device, root and edit the build prop to make it show that it is a international version in Settings.
Not much you can do about the IMEI being Black Listed.
