Root Unrooting Note 4

I rooted my phone a while ago, but I want to now unroot it. I have read somewhere that if I am returning it to stock, from stock firmware that I wont have to reset to factory settings. Is this correct?

I have rooted it but never changed the ROM so it is still running the stock firmware - of which I updated last week via kies.

Also, will it reset the knox counter?

Many thanks in advance

The Knox counter stays tripped once it has been rooted prior. As far as unrooting if you updated the device to a newer firmware version then it should be unrooted. If it was just a small update then you can flash a stock tar via odin from sammobile. Doing a firmware flash in general does factory reset the device.
Or back the device up using Samsung smart switch to unroot and flash firmware.
