Hey. My brother was using my phone before and was looking for music... ended up on mp3raid.com. To me the site seems a bit iffy, and I stopped him before he downloaded anything. Anyway, how safe would my phone be from a site like that? I have Lookout installed, so would that protect the phone overall?

Viruses on those websites are meant for pc's, not android phones. Obviously you still shouldn't be visiting those sites, but it wont harm your phone.

Huh. Just looked at my apps. Turned out that in his quest to download free music to my phone, he downloaded an app off the Market called FreeMusicDownloader, and Zedge Ringtones and Wallpapers. He used Zedge to download a ringtone, which I deleted through RealPlayer, and he says he didn't get anything from the other app. I removed both these apps. Are these apps safe?... so... is my phone still clean?? :/

I get a bit worried about viruses.

Ah you should be fine. We haven't heard of virus that can jump from the browser to the android OS yet. And if you are unlucky enough to be the first one.. well, at least you have a change of appearing on front page news. :D

Read this http://androidforums.com/android-ap...ps-avoid-viruses-guide-those-new-android.html to find out how to determine whether an app might be risky. (If Zedge were bad, I suspect practically everyone here would be in trouble...:D )
