Anyone know how to un-sync or remove Backup Assistant from the Droid 2? I am helping my mom setup her phone and she had the guys down at Verizon swap all her contacts from her old phone to her Droid 2, but now she wants it undone. I know nothing about Backup Assistant and how it works...the contact setup is different from my phone(Moto Droid)

You'd have to do a factory restore and simply not turn it one when you reactivate the phone. Otherwise you can simply turn off back-up assistant first, then erase the contacts you don't want afterward.

How do you turn it off? When I go into the back-up assistant app, I only see 'Sync Now', 'Recurring Sync', 'Pin', or 'help'.

No option to turn off

Is there somewhere else you go to turn it off?

I don't think you can stop it from syncing. It's on the list of "Do NOT remove" apps for rooted users. If she deletes contacts she doesn't want, when it sycs they will stay gone. If she adds new contacts she may be happy it sync'd and saved them, later on, if something happens to her phone.

Does she just not like the "invasive" not having control?

Factory Reset and Don't turn on that time around then.
