Last night i was notified that there was an update available so i updated it. when it finished updating it rebooted. i noticed that the boot animation was taking longer, i didnt think much of it at the time as i was going to bed. so when i woke up the boot animation was still going... so i assume its bricked. what do i do now?

Before you do anything, try to see if adb will connect while it's booting

Been a fan of this forum for a while now, but I never got off my arse to sign up...and lo and behold, my phone bricked to the point where it won't even power on. At first, it was a bit sluggish, then it froze a few times. After that, it powered off a couple of times while using bluetooth. Then finally, it died on me after a phone call from my girlfriend. It won't boot into recovery, it won't take a charge, nothing. Call ZTE, the phone has a one year warranty and send it in to them. I'm getting mine repaired free of charge. Ridiculous that an official update bricks my phone, whereas I've never bricked a phone in the 14 years that I've been using phones, tricking them out and modding them and whatnot.

It doesn't brick your device, it just requires a factory data reset.

TuMalditaMadre, that doesnt sound like a software flaw, thats the hardware giving out on you. wouldnt have mattered what software you were on the actual equipment failed

I did the update and now my phone won't even turn on or charge, it was working perfectly fine before the update, why would it be freaking out now after the update other than it having to do with the software?

    Here's my situation:
updated the phone, got it all set up, it would power on and screen off and reboot and wake up, etc. just fine, that is until this morning, when I took my phone off the charger, I turned it on to check the time [still working fine at this point], the phone went back to sleep, about an hour later i went to go check for messages and it wouldn't even turn back on, and yes it had a full charge. Now, I tried flashing back to b09 after updating the partitions back to stock, and now it woun't turn on to boot, and it won't even turn on to show the charging screen, any ideas on what to do?

also, it may have just not had anything to do with the update or partitions, it may just have finally given out on you

it'd be wierd if it just gave out on me considering this phone is only a few months old.

Any ideas on how i might be able to get it back on? I've tried taking out the battery and putting it back in, pluggin it in via usb, hard reseting it (pushed the buttons for it and it didn't do anything.), and nothing is working.

Ive had that happen on my og warp. I had it charging over night and when i woke up, bam, nothing worked. No charge light, no power, nothing. I ended up calling up zte and they replaced the mother board free. I suggest you give zte a call to fix it.

shouldnt matter if its under warranty if their update is what broke it. they basically broke your phone. call em up and talk to em, that is gonna be the best way to find out if they will help
