Update Dispensed with Some Pre- Installed Apps?

After I got the JB update,I did a factory reset. Since then,I notice that Tune In Radio and Navigation were no longer installed. Navigation seems to have been replaced by SCOUT.

This may have been part of the JB update by your carrier, I don't have your phone so I'm not 100% sure.

I do know that a factory reset will not delete system apps, so I assume this to be the case.

Yeah I had changes too, I did the force update a couple of months ago, and it just updated to 4.1.2 a couple of days ago. And the QSlide is installed

I just got my update today, I am on T-Mobile. I had scout and navigation before and now only have scout. Don't remember if I had the radio thing as I never used it to remember. Mary

never had scout, but picked it up on the update and it also kept navigation. So i disabled scout and kept navi.

I got scout after the first update. Would love to know how to get navigation back. Mary

Apparently Navigation still exists within the updated MAPS app.

Ok I see my previous destinations in google maps but how do you bring up the microphone? I liked using the navigation that way. Mary

If you go throught the APP settings and uninstall the updates from Maps it will bring back the icons for Navigation and Local without affecting maps.

I had the navigation icon all along after the update. It was all alone on the last screen. I just didn't scroll far enough. Mary

I just got a recent MAPS update that wiped out the icons. they are map features just shortcuts that get removed with that update.

I just had to use it and it's working fine. I am talking about the blue triangular pointed icon. Mary

Well my friend lost her navigation app but I went into apps and uninstalled the google maps update then then the navigation icon came back. Mary
