I'm very new to the whole Android tablet thing. Sorry if this has been addressed already but I did do a search.

I bought my wife a nexus 7 2012 and was working well until it tried to update software. The update started almost 16 hours ago and now it won't boot up.
I stays on the Nexus X screen.

    Anyone have any suggestion ?

    Thanks

    Ouch, that's no fun.:(

Welcome to Android Forums, hopefully we will be able to get it up and running again. You may just need to do a factory reset, but we'll see.

have you unlocked the bootloader or rooted the tablet? Do you have ADB debugging turned on?

Thank you so much for your reply. After posting this I found a toolbox somewhere and a video on Youtube that instructed me in side loading the update. After far too many curse words exited my mouth I had it reset and working. I now have a happy wife.
    Thanks again Unforgiven.

If the toolbox was Wugs, I'd keep that around as a handy tool.;)

Anyway, I'm glad you are all set. Happy wife, happy life.:thumb:
