Root Update to 2.3.3

Had the phone since it first came out and loved it until the new Android software came out. It sometimes will go back to previous screen when typing and hit the space bar as well as occasionally not show what you're typing but nothing big. What do i need to do? Do i need to update? And how do i do this link?

sounds like you have a bug in your update...

are you rooted?

if so you can always flash a custom rom to help out with those problems

but what is this situation revolving around mainly?

and can you give us the exact system version # your on? For instance the latest Stock version is 4.5.605

I went to verizon to check on this and they said it was a software issue with the Android system and this phone. Once the new update comes it should be fixed. Im not sure what im on i guess just out of the box. its stock the only updates i have received is the standard updates and the new android operating system...not sure what update that is on

Ty i dont have the phone yet im buying it from someone and this is there observation of the phone ill know more tonight what version. It sounds like he tried to update to 2.3.3 and maybe it took it and maybe it didnt. Also he didnt even know what rooted means. So can this be fixed you think and should i have it factory restored when i bring it to Verizon and activate it? Its confirmed its never been rooted but why would the guy be having problems is it because it doeent have the update?

2.3.3 doesn't really tell us what we need to know. There have been about 6 diff actual system builds of 2.3.3

yeah that was a funu 2 weeks, every other day was a new build.. ugh

Im taking it to VZW to put it on prepaid i dont have an acct. I was told i can do this through Verizon. I will get back soon as i recieve the info needed to see what the problem could be. The seller mentioned always updated anytime there was one not sure what that means maybe the bulid.

he may be on .605 or .602

it can be solved even if you cant find out we have special tools called SBF, which you can use to go to .602 or .340 froyo, regardless no matter which version you are on, you are in perfect hands

thats grt yea i know about the SBF stuff and RSD? Ive learned all this since just this June. My first Droid is the a855 actually one im selling now. That thing takes a beating i must have battery pulled and bootload and triangle and flashed a million times lol.

that means you can install pretty much any GB rom

Nice so would i just root with Gingerbreak 1.? I dont know i think there are three versions? And system update the 2.3.3?

the most current version is .605

when you get we can get you to .605 rooted fairly easy.
