Help update trouble android 2.2.1

Hello,

My HTC Magic recieved an update today. The new android 2.2.1 installed just fine except for the fact it won't update my contacts. Ik keep saying it needs a minimum of 5 MB of internal memory to be able to bring my contacts back

Now I have more than enough memory ready for it to you but it keeps telling me I should remove apps to make space. So now I can't acces my contacts to call.

Does anybody have the same problem or does anybody know how to deal with it?

Hi,
I am having the same problem.
I know all my contacts are safe as they are on Google account, it just gives me the same message about needing 5mb. Emails are syncing fine.
Out of interest do your have more than one Google accounts associated to your phone? I have two Google accounts and am wondering whether this might be related?

I have just one google account so the number of accounts shouldn't to be the problem...

Here we go:

Menu->settings->Applications->Manage applications
select "All" tab
Scroll down to find "Contacts Storage" and open it
click on "clear data"
