Root Update while rooted?

And yes, both should work with the Epic 4G Touch.

If you take your phone(s) to a Sprint store, they should replace your E4GT battery for free (just be sure to be nice to the customer service rep!).

Too late for that lol. So rather than start a new thread ill ask here. How to I update, now that im rooted?

Since your rooted, there's really 2 options you have

1) flash the stock recovery and take the official update via kies (kills your current root) meaning you'll need to re root

2) flash gb27 modem/firmware and (if you wish to do so)a rom based off of gb27 (this method I highly recommend)

That is an option, or to do it the safest way, check out the guide I made to un-root your phone to update to GB27 without bricking your phone

I think it'll promt you to update to FL24 first and then promt you to update to GB27. I could be wrong though.

Right, even through kies it should prompt that fl24 the your next update, run that then kies will give you an update to gb27 jb
