I'm a current Samsung Galaxy Note 3 user, SM-N9005. I've heard people saying that 4.4.2 KitKat is now available to be updated on my phone. But, when I search for updates, there are none, and when I search it on Kies, there is a firmware update! So, now I wanted to know what happens when I click firmware update.

    - I want to know if the download will occur before the phone is in the update mode or not because my download speed is 40 KB/s and the download package is at least 500 MB I guess.

    And, is this firmware, PDA:MK2 / PHONE:MJ7 / CSC: MK2 (BTU) Android 4.4.2?

I believe it downloads it then installs it, although I don't actually know. If your connection is fine apart from being slow you should be OK, let it do it's thing overnight. Personally I would take myself and my laptop to a Starbucks or Costa early or very late when they are not busy and use their free wifi. If your PC is a desktop that might be a problem. If your desperate for KitKat could have you access to a Windows laptop that you can install Kies 3 to do the update?

Yes, that is the UK SIM free (BTU is the giveaway) KitKat. Nice find :)
