Hell yeah that is awsome. Do you think we will be able to get custom roms at some point down the road, or is that not going to happen with this phone?

Direct download/install and TiBu (I'm even a paid owner).

Well, people can development custom ROM, they'll just have to be based around the OEM kernel, so it depends what you want from the ROM. If it's a tweaked UI, removed AT&T dookie-ware, etc., we should be good in short order.

So glad I pre-ordered. I sure hope this will give us webtop without giving unlimited data. I know I won't use very much data, but I want the option of using webtop and don't want to give up my unlimited plan at this point.

Where are the instructions on how to root the phone? My atrix is being delivered Monday and would like to root it.

So..... Am I correct in assuming that once rooted, we can change the HDMI mirroring from False to True, thereby allowing Webtop with just an HDMI Cable?

You DO NOT need root in order for webtop to work with microHDMI to HDMI directly connected to your television or monitor. I've tested this.

Every "unboxing" I've seen, a microHDMI cable was supplied...is this not the case?
