Root Updated phone this month....unable to root

    Whenever i try pushing adb onto my phone (thunderbolt), the cmd says "adb server out of date. killing....," i have even tried factory reseting my phone but i still have the same end result

    That happens to me to try retyping adb devices after the "killing daemon" and it should work

    just to add to what worm said,Gb hasn't hit yet,so 1.70.605.0 is the latest firmware you could be on,wich is still rootable... whatever issues your having are adb related,not "OTA unrootable" related.

    My wife said she just had hers update, I asked her what version she was running and she said it 2.2.1 so am I now stuck with a phone that I will not be able to root? or did I have her send me the wrong information?

    I have mine rooted and running Gingertheroy 6.2 which is listed as Android 2.3.4

    the numbers i listed were the firmware version,not the android version,but yes,2.2.1 is what we are refering to. youll need to root before the OTA to 2.3.4,wich is still an undetermined time away. :)
