Did that one last night too. Note the original radio file was 12 meg and this one is 25 meg.

I downloaded and loaded the RUU from "53e78863b7cc829261b4c6e1b984c200 PG05IMG_4182011_unsigned.zip last night around 10pm EDT. I noticed a v2 radio this morning. How do I tell if the download included the v2 radio or not.?

Phone info Baseband ver is: 1.16.00.0402w_1

The file size in the RUU was 25mb but the download and the update in this thread have slightly different file sizes and a different "modified date" in the properties.

    Thoughts?

EDIT> Decided just to flash the V2 radio. After reading post on original RUU thread, figured there was no downside (ie wiped data) - now time to try first ROM Flash with BAMF

What is different between the two basebands? I upgraded yesterday morning with the 12mb file and again today with the 25mb file, but both show 1.16.00.0402w_1 as the Baseband version.

LTE was left off the 12 meg one. This one is complete.

It's not the radio. There are some major issues with 4G in the NYC area, but nonetheless, pull the battery and try again.

I would though it isn't a must. The update includes many fixes.

I flashed new radio yesterday and then noticed the updated one today. I flashed it without deleting any data at all. Should I have wiped anything before the flash?

Thanks scotty85 , I'm hoping 4g will come to my area tomorrow and I want to make sure I'm set to go if it does.

    is a smokey place.
I haven't heard NY-Metro 4g has issues. I have experienced and read similar experiences regarding the T-Bolt in the NY-Metro area. What I've been noticing, and I could be wrong, is that most people that purchased their phone within a 4g hot zone from a vzw corp store and did the auto-registration for the sim card on the spot have been having little or no issues accessing 4g. This precludes the extended 4g coverage areas where the known issues regarding network transition occurs... this I think we all have and the update reportedly fixes.

Question I have is how does a tech in a non 4g zone verify data flow over a new sim activation?. I understand they can see the actual sim auto-registration online but how do they test actual data transmission?. It's not like they can just open up speedtest.net and verify that 4g works. This also goes for those people that get their phone in the mail who maybe don't live in a 4g zone.... but maybe work in one.

I purchased my phone from a store with no 4g coverage and noticed that the operator activating my phone was having difficulties. Once I left the store and started to realize I had no 4g data, even though the radio gave my full indication at times. I attempted all the reported fixes still with no success. I decided to take it to a corp store I knew had strong 4g coverage to review the issue. Long story short... they fixed the problem by replacing my sim card. I verified the fix inside the store and discussed with the operator who replaced the card what seemed to be the problem. He ran me around the usual circles but what I did get was that the card had been registered twice in their system by an operator more than likely inadvertently which we know now will render it ineffective.

Not saying this is the reason that some people are having issues.... just an observation.

thats an interesting observation. i activated my phone at home, not in a store,so i hope i have no issues. i was in an area that was picking up some 4g and it seemed to be working.

    is a smokey place.

To my knowledge the official non-rooted OTA has not been released as of yet. There have been some reports of random rebooting using the leaked version which would indicate that it was possibly incomplete. So... keep this in mind if your looking to use it.

    Known Fixes:

    SQLite API
    GPS Location Services
    LTE/3g Transitions
    Audio Recording
    Video Playback
    Proximity Sensor's battery drain

I've been having good luck with the leak and BAMF 1.5 so far no random FC's or reboots
