Updating Apps

What is your method for updating apps?

I am an android noob. I am very happy with my apps. I have no complaints, but several have updates. Is there any reason not to update?

For example, is it possible that the update will work best for v2.2, and be detrimental to my phone running 2.1?

Based on recent threads here, the only app that I have automatically update is Launcher Pro.

I also don't see an explanation for what the update does. My wife has an iphone and it tells you what the update is. So when the update says, "Sorry, but we had to put advertisemetns in", I choose not to update ..


Just wondering if it's best to always keep the apps up to date.

I usually wait a few days before updating to read the comments about the new update. After a while you can get a feel for the legitimate comments vs just general griping whenever anything changes.

And sometimes Appbrain lists the changes in the upgrade.
